Hannah Waddingham (born 28 July 1974) is an English actress, singer and television presenter. She is known for playing businesswoman Rebecca Welton in Ted Lasso (2020–2023), for which she won a Primetime Emmy Award for Outstanding Supporting Actress in a Comedy Series in 2021 and the Critics' Choice Television Award for Best Supporting Actress in a Comedy Series in both 2021 and 2022. She has also appeared in several West End shows, including Spamalot, the 2010 Regent's Park revival of Into the Woods and The Wizard of Oz as the Wicked Witch of the West. She has received three Olivier Award nominations for her work. Waddingham's film work includes the film adaptation of Les Misérables (2012), the psychological thriller Winter Ridge (2018) and the action comedy The Fall Guy (2024). Other notable television roles include playing Tonya Dyke in Benidorm (2014), Septa Unella in the fifth season of the HBO series Game of Thrones(2015–2016), Jax-Ur in Krypton (2018–2019) and Sofia Marchetti in Sex Education (2019–2023). In 2023, she co-hosted the Eurovision Song Contest. Beginning in 2023, Waddingham began to expand into voice acting, portraying the snarky goddess Deliria in the animated series Krapopolis (2023-present) and earning a Primetime Emmy Award for Outstanding Character Voice-Over Performance nomination and Jinx in The Garfield Movie.
